Scope of Works: New build single storey building comprising; main hall (with operable wall to divide space when required) with adjoining storage spaces. Kitchen with serving hatch to Hall and Male, Female & Accessible toilets.

Located on a new housing development on the edge of Melksham this new facility provides modern space for a range of use by the local community.

The traditionally built structure has red brick elevations with brown contrast brick features and incorporates a specially commissioned artwork feature detailing the history of the nearby Kennet and Avon Canal. All under Cambrian Slate hipped roofs incorporating roof windows and recessed photovoltaic panels.

Aluminium windows and doors are installed with secondary glazing to the Hall to comply with planning requirements for acoustics.

The building is heated by underfloor heating via an air source heat pump accompanied by mechanical ventilation with LED lighting throughout.

The building perimeter is paved with slabs and a new car park with permeable block paving provides space for 15 vehicles and a cycle shelter.
