Rigg Construction were appointed by Porter Property fund to convert and refurbish Phase II of a large existing office block that extended into the High Street in Marlborough into luxury flats.

Scope of Works: Rigg Construction were appointed by Porter Property fund to convert and refurbish Phase II of a large existing office block that extended into the High Street in Marlborough into luxury flats.

Phase I had been completed two years previously and had residential leaseholders in place.

Access for materials and workmen had to be agreed and monitored on a daily basis with the main entrance and lift retained for the residents.

During the course of construction, the existing roof was found to be defective, a full scaffold was required to enable replacement without disruption to the existing residents.

Work was completed to a final agreed programme and a final Account agreed within one month of completion.

The luxury flats were built and finished to the highest specification which enabled the developer to sell at a premium rate.

The Developer has since asked Rigg to provide budgets for further development both new and refurbishment, however due to the current market and covid, these projects are currently on hold.
